Tour Page 6 - Missing Words

Words are often left out when they aren't required. You know what I mean. "The women I know like dinner" is missing an implied "that". Put another way, "the women (that) I know like dinner".

A large number of expressions in language omit words. Imperatives in English, for example, leave out the subject. Other languages such as Spanish also often omit the subject because the verb's inflection determines the implied subject.
